A.B.S Powerlifting Athletes
Hazel is Ireland's most accomplished female lifter within tested female powerlifting. Hazel has won numerous best lifter awards across multiple federations and was ranked No.1 in 2015, 2016 and 2017 in the IrishPF. Hazel is the current 52kg open record holder in all four records and placed 6th at the IPF Worlds Championships in 2016 and 2017.
Anna is Ireland's most successful junior female to date. Anna become is the only junior to break 400 wilks in a two hour weigh in comp and has been ranked in the pound for pound top 3 IrishPF rankings both in 2015, 2016 and 2017. Anna has lifted at two World Championships with the IPF both in Texas and Belarus.
Lina is the current No.1 ranked lifter across all federations in Ireland. Lina become the first Irish female to break 500 wilks hittinf 525 at the WPC World Championships in Russia in 2017 and picking up best lifter. Lina finished with the All time highest wilks in UK and Ireland across all federations in raw lifting in 2017
Jordan holds the under 18 squat record with the IrishPF 197.5kg under 83 and has represented Ireland at the 2017 European Championships. Jordan is one the highest ranked juniors in the country and has been selected to represent Ireland at the 2018 World Championships.
Barry is the current IPF Open World record holder in the Bench press (226.5kg) in the 105 class and Irish National record holder over two weight classes both junior and Open. Barry is the current No.1 ranked male in the IrishPF.
Mark has represented Ireland at European level in Denmark in 2017 and has won numerous Open Championships in the IrihsPF. Mark finished 3rd in 2017 at the IrishPF National Championships in the dreaded 83kg Open and is ranked in the top 10 IrishPF rankings pound for pound.
Aoife is one of the most successful junior lifters to date with 3 best lifters awards with the IrishPF two coming from the University championships and one via the Open. Aoife has represented Ireland at European and World level and holds the junior under 63 deadlift record with 165kg.
Emily recently competed for Ireland at the European Championships in Denmark where she officially broke her 57kg Junior squat record (110kg) Emily is a current member of the Irish National squad.
Laura is one of the women IrishPF females to have broken 400 wilks in competition. Laura has lifted internatonaly for Ireland in the EPF European Championships, Denmark and also won best lifter at the Athlone Open in 2016.
Louise is the current 72kg National champions and total record holder. Louise competed at the 2016 World championship in Texas where she finished 7th place. Louise joined the Irish squad in 2016 and will be representing Ireland at the 2017 World Championships in Belarus.
Barry Pigott is Ireland's current NO.1 male lifter and current gold medalist and IPF World open 105 Bench Press record holder. Barry is also a bronze European medal holder and multiple Irish record holder both open and junior.
Lelsie joined the Irish squad in 2017 where she narrowly missed out on best lifter at the Leinster open. Leslie finished runner up in the 84kg class at the 2016 National championship and will be representing Ireland at the 2017 World championship.
Noel is the 2016 59kg champion and one of few people to squat triple bodyweight in the IrishPF. Noel competed for team Ireland at the 2-16 World championship and holds national records in both the 59 and 66kg weight classes.
Karen is the Irish Powerlifting Federations most successful master lifter to date with gold medals and records at both European and World championship level. Karen will become the most capped lifter at this years World Championships with caps at open and master level as well as holding National master and open records accross multiple federations.
Shannon first competed with the IrishPF at the Novice Open in 2016 where she won best lifter. Shannon won the 84kg National championship in 2016 and has represented Ireland at European and World championship level. Shannon has featured in the top 10 rankings since 2016 and top 3 at Nationals.
Killian is the IPO's most successful junior lifters with over 8 best lifter awards junior and open. Killian is pound for pound one of the best lifters in the country ans will be lifting in the US Open in 2018 for the second year running.
Pla joined A.B.S in 2017 and currently holds the 47kg Open Bench record as a junior and is a member of the Lienster Regional team. Pla is the NO.1 ranked 47kg lifter in the country.
Stephanie joined the A.B.S Team in 2017 where she competed in her first IPF comp at the All Ireland Championships Belfast. Stephanie was recently invited to the IPF World championships to represent Ireland in the junior 63kg division.
Fionn is a member of the IrishPF National squad and won two best lifter awards in 2017. Fionn was ranked in the top 10 IrishPF rankings in 2017 and came runner up in the 93kg Open National championship in 2018. Fionn will be lifting at the A.B.S. Pro event in 2018.
Sarah currently holds the Master 1 under 57 records in the squat, deadlift and total and is a current Irish national team member. Sarah's best total us 320kg and 377 wilks.
Ashwin holds the IrishPF record for competing in the most comps in one year (5). Ashwin has competed both at 74 and 83kg in 2016 and register a 394 wilks to make the A.B.S team standard.
Laura based out of A.B.S Cork has a successful junior background with the IDFPA before making her IrishPF debt this May at where she won best lifter and broke 402 wilks with her first comp in two years. Laura is a Munster regional lifter with a 340 total at 57kg.
Dave recently hit the Irish National team Master 1 standard at the May Open with a solid 675 total ans 9/9 performance. Dave still relatively new to powerlifting competed at the 2018 National championships in the Open class and will represent Ireland next year at the Masters European Championships.
Davie is one of the IrishPF's pound for pound best lifters finishing in the top 10 wilks scores in 2016. Davie holds multiple 66kg records and has won the All Ireland 63kg class two years running.
Keira is one of our 52kg athletes and finished in the top 25 wilks scores of 2016 in the IrishPF. Keira has competed at the All Ireland championships and finished 3rd behind her team mates at the 2016 National championships.
Linh is our longest team member and joined us in 2013. Linh was IDFPA No.1 ranked female in 2013 and won multiple best lifter awards as well as competing for team Ireland at the 4 Nations. Linh has competed across 4 differnt federations.
Deividas is not only an athlete but also one of our coaches at A.B.S. Deividas won the 2016 National championship 66kg class and holders multiple junior records between federations.
Mark joined team Ireland in 2016 where he picked up best lifter at the Boyneside Open. Mark also won best lifter at the Revfit open and finished in the top 10 IrishPF rankings in 2016.
Cillian is one of our most experienced athletes. Cillian has competed in 4 federations over the last few years and holds the 105kg IrishPF deadlift record.
Lorcan is one if the IrishPF's most accomplished juniors holding multiple junior and sub junior records and representing Ireland both on the World and European stage. Lorcan won the 2016 83kg class Open championship in 2016.
