Killian has a strong background in rugby and sprinting. From a young age Killian played rugby as far as provisional level where he developed his hunger for lifting. During these years, Killian was blighted with knee and shoulders injuries where he had to constantly rehabilitate from which he has now done successfully. Killian attended the Elite Fitness Academy where he gained his qualifications in health and fitness and was part of team Boyneside Strength & Performance in 2015/16.
In 2015 one month after his 4th open knee surgery and ACL reconstruction Killian competed in his first powerlifting meet. This was the springboard for in 2016 alone he went on to win 9 best lifter awards between junior and open classes across multiple federations. In 2017 Killian won the IPO National championship open and junior best lifter award and was invited to compete in the Worlds biggest competition the US Open California.
